I finally bit the bullet and purchased my very first gaming console - the Playstation 3. It's hooked up via component (Yb, Yg, Yr) to a 32" CRT TV which supports 720p and 1080i. However, there is ghosting in the display, ie. I will see 3-4 shadows to the right of each pixel. It's not exactly unusable, but it is annoying. I know at the end of the day, the problem can be with one of the following components: TV is not fast enough to display image without ghosting. I would need to test PS3/cables on another HD TV. Sony branded PS3 component cables are crap. I would need to buy another cable to test this hypothesis (dont have any friends with PS3). The PlayStation 3 Video out Digital/Analog circuitry is defective. I dont have another PS3 for reference to test this.I've tried looking for advice on other PS3 forums, but generally the console related forums on average have a lower IQ than what you can find on Ars. Does anyone here have similar experience, and what do you think I should do to resolve the ghosting problem?
Please help.
