NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Country singer Vince Gill and Kristen Laviolette have been appointed to positions on the Nashville Predators Foundations board of directors.Gill, a County Music Hall of Famer, is a longtime Predators season-ticket holder. Laviolette is the wife of new Predators coach Peter Laviolette. Their appointment was announced Thursday through a team release.The release also said Gill would join the Predators broadcast team for a select number of games this season.At a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Ford Ice Center last month, Predators CEO Jeff Cogen announced a partnership between Gill and the Predators that would work to provide scholarship opportunities for children to participate in hockey and skating programs at the new facility.The Nashville Predators Foundation is a charity offering resources and financial support to local youth-oriented organizations.
