What is your favorite stealth series? And what do you like about stealth?

Personally, I like it when I move around right under someone's nose and they don't even notice it. It's also a good challenge to take down an entire room of enemies without them seeing you.I haven't played any of the old-school stealth franchises like Thief and Metal Gear Solid. My favorite is Dishonored, which you could say is Thief's spiritual successor. Stealth games are often more challenging and a pleasant change from most games' head on combat be it hack n slash or shooter. I quite enjoy stealth take downs and kills as well.
